While I was at Yandles at the weekend I bought one of Drapers LED work lights for use on my Lathe. The unit turned out to be faulty so I contacted Draper tools who tell me I have to return it to where I bought it! Sounds reasonable at first until you realise I made a special trip to Yandles which is 60 miles from where I live! I've replied to this effect, let's see how good they are at customer service!

Draper got back to me and it seems they'll be posting out a replacement so that's a result.

Much better than the CS I got. Had a brand new pair of VDE side cutters a couple of years ago. First outing on a bit of 2.5mm and one of the blades sheared off and went flying, narrowly missing my daughter's face. They never even had the decency to reply to my email! I refuse to buy any of their junk since that incident.

Edit to mention I bought directly from their own online shop.

I think email communications with companies is getting better these days.

My replacement is in the post so I should get it any day soon.

when you have used it for a few days, I would be interested to see whether it lives up to your hopes. I need to get something to help see some threads that I have been cutting in pens.

I saw a little light at the Newark show which looked great but I have lost the details of who was selling it. It was a small LED one that clipped to the toolset or hollowing tool.
