DeWalt DW745 vs DW744

Hey guys, I know this saw has been talked about quite a bit however I am torn between one or the other.

I have read mixed reviews of how one is better than the other but I'm still not sure which to purchase.

They are 100GBP apart.

The 745 costs 380GBP and 744 costs 480GBP

Is the 744 really 100 pounds better? I mean other than the extended fence does it do much more? Can it take a dado blade which the 745 can't?
Is the soft start feature that much better?
I also read that the 744 is much sturdier.

Any thoughts?

I would look for something quieter. I borrowed a DW745 when I had a Startrite motor at the rewinders - holy pineapple Batman it was noisy
(the manufacturers are supposed to publish noise, vibration and dust emissions levels on professional equipment)
