Does anyone know where you can buy the hardware for making babies cots? Alot of cots have sides that slide up and down, i have searched the internet but have not found anything so far. Many thanks

I dont know a supplier but you could try freecycle in your area ask for someones old cot and you can use the fittings off that, just google freecycle

I purchased mine (50 years ago) from the Retailers named Hobbies, (opposite Liverpool St. railway station, the one which serves Ipswich :) ) I think there is a mail order set up around with the same name, or magazine.

I went to the local tip and searched through the wood section and got a load of old cots for peanuts. Different types of sliding mechanism on each.
Freecycle is also a good source of old cots.

I searched high and low for a shop and failed, this included ebay (except for teething rails)

maybe suppliers are nervous because of all the legislation around baby items and safety.

Ask me in 6 months and you can have some from me :)
