Afternoon chaps

Does anyone know of any suppliers with a good range of cornice moldings? I need a large sort of upside down scotia if that makes sence at all?

sorry dont know the real name, ive no doubt there will be one tho.

Cheers, Luke

well im in essex, so i guess essex and london area would be best, but im drawing a blank so anywhere that will deliver i guess.

What im after exactly is a 40mmx40mm scotia shape for here a cabinet shrinks in width 2/3's of the way up by 40mm and then a cornice that matches it coming back out again (but mirror image on the horizontal axis to it.)

You know... if that makes sense at all

Its going to be sprayed so species isnt really an issue

There is a place near me in Preston, Lancs that stock all the old mouldings so it might be worth giving them a shout. They are called Page & Taylors. Not sure if they have a web site or not. Otherwise you could get some made up at a local workshop maybe?

If you have a timber merchant that stocks Hoppings Q-line mouldings then they do an ex 50x50 scotia that comes out at 44x44 and you could cut that down to 40mm without damaging the curved part. They should be able to give you a stockist

Wealden also do a few cornice cutters which should come out close to teh size you need, I've got a couple of the profiles but not teh plain cove.

Hoppings website seems promising, they do a bespoke molding service and they have a branch quite close to me
