Einhell TE-CS 190 1500W 190mm Circular Saw 240V

You want a big one to cut 70mm

I had an erbauer 235mm which was a beast and well made.

Don't think it's made anymore.

Cheers James

Is a 70mm depth of cut necessary or is it a guess? I think I would rather have a smaller lightweight saw that would cut if I could get away with it and make a cut from each side on the odd occasion that I needed to.

Obviously you know what you need it for and how often. 70mm is an odd size at least for me, with most things being 40mm or less and most of the rest being cross cuts on fence posts or beams which would be bigger than 70mm anyway.

I've been running an Aldi one for a couple of years. Light DIY work interspersed with periods of heavy use; full house renovation, shed building etc. I may even change the blade someday. Will eventually replace, when I can figure out which brand I want to 'adopt'.
