Hi,

I have an old Kity Bestcombi with its 5 belt driven functions operating from a single motor. I am still using
the original saw blade which sits on a 15mm spindle. I was suprised to find that most circular saw blades now seem to have a
16mm hole so I have been struggling to find a straight replacement 200mm general purpose saw blade.

Can someone tell me where I might be able to purchase a suitable off the shelf blade (200mm) to fit a 15mm spindle?

Anyone hazzard to guess what the effect would be of mounting a 16mm blade on a 15mm spindle?

Thanks,

David

The only thing i can suggest would be to get 200mm blades with a 30mm spindle hole and have some custom bushes made. If i remember correctly the bushes are normally a press fit and have to be discarded once taken out the saw blade.

If the spindle had the 2 locating pegs like in the big saws / site saws, then you may have got away with the 16mm/ 5/8'' spindle holes

These work perfectly. I bought 1/2 dozen a few years ago for exactly that purpose. only thing to be careful of is that some of the really cheap blades can be less than 2mm thick. Will still clamp up but not worth having

Lons, they have an option for 1.4mm thickness as well as 2.0mm

Thanks Jason, I didn't notice that.

I haven't needed them though as I find that really thin blades vibrate like mad.

cheers
