Chuck key for Sedgwick 571 Morticer

I've lost my chuck key. Bought one (1/2") from ebay - didn't fit! Too small.

What size do I need to look for?

If it's a Jacobs chuck the model number will be stamped on the flat ring round the middle of the finger grip (for Muulticraft chucks) or around the smooth nose above the taper jaws (for Industrial models). From that any engineer's suppliers should be able to supply you with the appropriate chuck key

If your chuck is not marked with the key type/size, then you could measure the size of the key spigot by using a drill shank in the hole and then looking for a similar one here. http://www.chronos.ltd.uk/acatalog/Chronos_Catalogue_Drill_Chucks_136.html
