Chesterfield flea market

Hi,

I am new to all this and am starting to build my tool collection, not wanting to spend too much I have stumbled on my local flea market.

I may not know exactly quality from a load of old tat, but for 29GBP I acquired a number 4 record plane, two mortise chisels, a pairing chisel, a hand plane and a rebate planer.

Really pleased, and am now looking forward to the next one........ the wife probably isn't.

Whenever I've been around the Chesterfield Flea Market, its either been junk or the seller has wanted silly money - with no room for negotiation. Sounds like you dropped onto some good deals.

I suspect you're right, and as I get more familiar I will be more choosy - but right now I am enjoying the rummaging.
