Went to the woodworking show, Harrogate a second hand stall was selling a 100mm XY vice or compound vice Knocked him down to £15 as I don't have one thought it may come in handy when using the pillar drill - since then everything get tightened to the vice; a little left a little right back and forth really easy to use - don't know how I used the drill without one. There is a little give in the thing and i've tried to adjust but it a cheap type; so looks like I'm going to replace it with a better quality when I know what a better quality one is. So onto ebay and find an old British made one 4"type.
