That's pretty cool.
I enjoyed my climbing days, some of the views I've seen have been breathless.

'ere John....how did you make the sticky out bits of the face of this watch clock? The bits that accept the strap pins?

First and most important, it only takes one psychologists to change a light bulb.

BUT zeeee light boolb hass reeely got to vant to change 8) 8)

Secondly, Bob (a bit out of left field here?) here is the break down of the 'watch' and it really does fit on my wrist. A bit alkward and ostentatious, but it fits

The pins are turned from box and the trickiest bit was to drill the hole through the top of the strap for the long pin that not only holds the outer part of the buckle, but also the buckle center pin. That pin is only about 1/16" diametre, as are the others. The watch body is beech, the strap is cherry and the buckle is mahogony. Lastly, the clock insert is Axy

The frightening thing is that I got 4 of the clocks, so 3 more to make sometime

Sorry Bob, I have just re-read your post  The 'sticky out bits' for the straps were cut out on my band saw after the recess for the clock was turned and then sanded down to the final shape. It really is quite fun to make and the fact that it will actually fit on my wrist was quite a surprise and not intended. I only tried it to a friend to show off 8)

Yes sorry about the left field John.....it was another post you made....stupidly, I followed your link and found all your photos of wood and tractors et al :) That cost me an hour by the way...you owe me 1 hour of my life :)

I was trying to figure out what order you and tools you'd used for that component. I had assumed you'd turned it first to get the round and the hollow innnard for the mechanism. The outside strappy bits looked to uniform to have been machined by eye but there ya go...you're blimin good mate...that's the answer :)

I alzo found zee accent of Dr Freud zere Amyoozing!

For ROB. IOU 1 hour.

There, now we are straight, whatever that means?

Ta for the compliments mate. It just takes a little patience. Correct tht the hole was turned first. Then the outer shape cut on the band saw after drawing the shape by compass and hand. Now quite so symetrical when you look closely though

Anyway, back to the origins of the thread

How many programmers do it take to change a bulb??
