Wow, that's incredibly well spotted it definitely looks like the same plane, the crack in the wedge is a giveaway. But 2k? I'll save list and see how many relists it gets before the price drops

Funnily enough i have just been looking at a Norris infill plane being sold locally that i thought was a tad expensive but that mitre plane takes the biscuit.

With eBay fees, packaging, and so on, I suspect whoever it was didn't really earn a good hourly rate on this deal.

I wonder who buys those pitted planes. If I had the urge to try to build one, I might be tempted to buy a burnt out looking plane like that so that I could rob the proportions off of it, but stuff that's pitted on ebay tends to look even worse once you get it in person.

Every time you guys bring up a miter plane, ebay suggests a cast miter plane to me for 150 quid, difference being it looks in better shape. That kind of thing would sell pretty easily at that over here, but it must be one of the things you're rich in that we're poor in.

Like 4 1/2s. The collection of inexpensive 4 1/2s on the UK ebay is boggling.
