John, tales of near misses could fill another thread I reckon!

Roy.

This has bought back a lot of fond memories of a string of Bantams and an M10 I used to own. I remember the Bantams used to go through magneto shafts like they were made of putty.

I did my test on a Bantam, arrived at the test centre only to find the kick start had fallen off on the way there. The examiner kindly turned his back while I bump started it, then despite me getting lost during the test gave me a pass slip with a huge smile. I bump started the bike again to go home, dropped it into 1st, and the clutch cable broke!

Undaunted I rode home, knowing there was my beautiful Triumph Tiger 650 waiting for me in the shed :)

So after all these happy reminiscences how many of us still ride.
I'm back on the road as soon as the weather improves after a break of about ten years. Can't wait! :D
