BS400

I'm looking at buying a Record BS400 bandsaw, I'm confused as one retailer is listing it with a 270mm DOC and others are saying it has a 305mm DOC, are there earlier and later versions of this model?

Could it be anything to do with different guide systems fitted? Some ball bearing based guide cost some depth of cut

Hi

Are you buying second hand? - get the seller to hold a rule against the machine when set to max DOC and send you a photo.

If its a new machine, Record Power state DOC to be 305mm - you can legally hold them to that.

And having bought one in March I can vouch for the DOC being 12 inches. Baldy....didn't I link the review I did? If so that has a snap of me holding a tape to the max DOC
