Using my Clarke 10" saw tonight... switched it on and the motor is working fine but blade not spinning, checked the spacer and that's fine so took blade off.

The spindle however is free to turn both directions but feels like its in a tub of biscuit crumbs.

Any ideas what's gone wrong and if its fixable.

Thanks

The problem is...

Is that a former worm gear....... or some former splines......?

Anyway it looks difficult to repair...... though there has to be a way......

Sure there will be a way to fix it but I'm not trying...

Just got myself a new one... well same model hopefully pick it up Friday.

Would of liked to get something better but due to my bench being built around my saw its all that I can fit for now... till the constraints of Christmas and money are lifted.
