Hi all,

I have been told that i should use Blue Masking Tape for scrollsawing. Where is the best place to buy it from and is there any alternative you could advise?

thanks
paul

If it is the stuff I am thinking off, check b&q, it is in the decorating section.

Quite tough, but easy to remove. I used it to mask off my rc car bodies and worked a treat with no residue, and also on kitchen cabinets to get a good paint line without paining half the cabinet.

Also you can write on it easily, it is designed for decorating and masking off.

If it isn't the stuff, ignore me :-D

i must admit i only use the clear stuff as i have a belt sander for anything that wont come off, but i will try this blue masking tape when i get around to find the time to shop..

I personally - don't find it sticky enough for pulling parts together for gluing, for painting it is easy to remove and its brilliant.

If you ever have difficulty removing tape, or labels etc, heat it up with a hair dryer or heat gun... Comes off easily and warms your hands up. :)

I have recently started using the blue masking tape,I bought it from B&Q ( on wednesday discount for OAP's ).I am selective when using it.I bought the 2" and the 1" tape.I would not be without it when cutting intricate pieces and inside cutting ,the time I have spent taking off the very small pieces of white masking tape off.The blue comes off easier and you can see it better on a light coloured wood.
