I've just bought a second hand BS350 which is only a couple of years old. I've noticed the bearing guides (top and bottom) are very noisy and the rear bearing guides have groves cut into them. This causes sparks to fly when I'm cutting into anything substantial. Wondering if any other members have had a similar problem and if there are after market bearing guides that would fit the Charnwood.

The bearings will have a number on them, just do a google search there will be several suppliers. On my Charnwood W730 they are 627zz which I got from Simply Bearings. Dead easy to change.

Cjange all the bearings, they are only pennies compared to the blades.
Set the side bearings to almost touch the blade, but to be slightly behind the gullet of the teeth.
Set the rear bearings so that they dont normally touch the blade, but when the blade is pushed back under pressure, they stop the teeth from being squeezed between the side bearings.
