[DIY Stew]

My 6 year old granddaughter was given a Barbie for her birthday last month, you can colour her hair with washable ink pens. After she washed the hair colour out she decided to use her mothers hairdrier to speed up the drying time, unfortunately Barbies hair melted, distraught my granddaughter brought Barbie round for me to fix!

My wife emailed Mattel and told them what had happened, asking if it was possible for them to send a new head which grandad would fit, someone from Mattel phoned to say a new Babie would be sent through the post free of charge.

Yesterday our granddaughter called round after school, she had the biggest grin any 6 year old could have when I showed her what the lovely lady from Mattel had sent her, so, a very big THANK YOU to Mattel for all their help and service way beyond what we expected.

It does indeed. In this day of "profit at all costs" it is a pleasant change to hear of a company offering genuine, old-fashioned, customer service.
