Hi
I am looking at purchasing a new bandsaw. 2 of the saws I am considering are the Axminster SBT 4300 and the Itech BS431 , which as far as I can tell looks identical. Has anyone seen both, is there any difference?

Or if you had £1000 to buy a new bandsaw what would you go for, a Record BS400 or Startrite 352 or one of the above?

Yes I will buy my blades from Tuffsaws.

Thanks

Mark

Ps I am keen hobby woodworker, like constructional work, but also want to resaw, cut tenons etc.

i have a version of the axminster- an axminster plus 4300 IIRC. I rate it very highly, but have not used any of the others to give a comparison.

I doubt that there is a great deal between them- they should all tension a big blade and be solidly made.
