Decided to take the plunge and get the burner installed in the garage ASAP, but am trying to find a cheap source for twin walled flue pipe. So far the best I can find is £60 for a 1000mm length. But if you know of a cheaper place please do share it with me!

Thanks

I presume you've a relatively short run, being in garage? It might be worth asking a specialist company if your intended flue is the correct size - just because that's the size that fits your stove doesn't mean it doesn't mean it doesn't need increasing or decreasing to get the draw right. It's an expensive thing to get wrong, for the want of asking someone who knows better.

I doubt they would be cheaper but it might be worth talking to boat chandlers ( like Midland Chandlers ) as these short double skin flues are used extensively on narrowboats

It is a 4 meter straight run so the draw should be fine. The flue pipe exit is 4" and I am going to run 5" flue pipe after a short section. I will take your advice and speak with the flue company

Er.... yes!!

£57.58!!! (including VAT) Might not be worth the difference if they have to post it though. We have just ordered a load of pipe for our wood burning oven. In France the bill would have been around £1500. In the UK its was £588 including delivery to our carriers.

Just a few things are cheaper in the UK!! :D
