I have just received an order of 3 cu ft of sawn 2 square edge quarter sawn oak. I intend to use it for the tops and drawer fronts of some bedroom pieces. It was delivered as 2 boards, 1 inch thick x 20 inches wide x 12 ft long.
20 inches is just about wide enough for the tops I need. Am I asking for trouble if I use a single wide board (assuming it stays reasonably flat after acclimatising for a couple of weeks), or should I cut it down and joint it up as 3 or 4 separate boards ?
Thanks Jeff
