Adaptor help needed please.

Does anyone know who might have or know of, an adaptor for a Sorby patriot chuck on to a inboard thread on a viceroy educator.

They're owned by Rob Sorby and so if anyone has one, they should.

It only works if you know the thread size though.

From what I've read, the Educator is a dual wood/metal turning lathe so you could always cut your own adaptor?

Got one Thankyou. Got one from Ed Oliver. £44 though!!

Probably won't make you feel any better, but I would not want to make what must be a one-off adaptor for £44!!

Ed Oliver did say that he usually carries one of each variation in stock, If it's a genuine sorby adaptor, I don't suppose it's that badly priced, like you said making a one off would be a pain. He did say it's a big thing! Can't be an everyday item though!!!
Apparently patriot chucks are available with 1 1/2" x 6 thread. But not 1 1/2" x 8. Typical
And also I now know why the guy I bought my lathe from, was selling his bison chuck separately!!
What a great bloke though, will happily get stuff from him in the future.
