been making pair of gate for the past few weeks in the spare time for a pal. each gate is 2.1m x 14m..... need more clamps and a bigger shop. Managed to get my old man to help finish one today

not a criticism but I probably would have made the tenons slightly thinner, as this could become a weak point.

the 3rds rule is good each side of the mortice is a 3rd of the width and the mortice is also one 3rd

but very nice gates!

And 14 metres is very tall for a gate!

Yeah I thought about the tennon thickness but I made do with what I had.. Yeah 1.4m is more like it
