    First go at off centre stuff

    Candle stick turned off centre at either end. Funny bit of wood - hard as hell, mostly dust rather than clean shavings, but smelt like pine!

    Silver birch fun

    Natural edged "vessel" for want of a better word, from semi wet / semi dry (take your pick) log of silver birch. No finish on it. Wish I had left it (or just waxed it) as I put Danish oil on it , which darkened it more than I would have liked, but hey ho!

    Myford ML8 starting problem

    HI I have a myford ML8 with a Brooks Crompton switchgear, which keeps shorting out when the motor gets hot. Anyone with the same problem that knows how to solve it? New switchgear or new motor ..... or new lathe?! Thanks Tim
