both are great turnings.
personally prefer the top one - i think its because of the natural edge having a bit more interesting shape.

Both are lovely, but I prefer the lower one. The lack of straight lines works well and softens the piece. Nice accents too.

thats what i love about woodturning :lol:

like i say i like both of your turnings but like 1 a bit more than the other - my personal preferance.

A couple of great pieces. The second one is top of my list.
If you can how big are they and what type of wood(if known) and what finish have you used
 
The mulberry was about 8 inches across the diagonal and maybe 3 inches deep. Waxed and buffed.
The ash crotch piece is about the same along the length and inch and a half deep. Oiled.
