    Wall Cabinet Elm

Just applied the finish to the last of the Elm I had, liking the colours and grain. Sold the bench I last posted and customer has asked for a console to be made after seeing the live edge coffee table I also posted pics of. Need to find some more Elm

    Triton TRB001 Router Problem

I have a problem with a Triton TRB001 Router and seem to remember a Guy "Ray" used to be able to help with solving problems but dont know if he visits any longer. Anyhow the problem is that the collet screws into another mounting which is screwed onto the motor shaft. That mounting is now loose...

    New Festool TS55R Issues !

Just letting you be aware before you part with any of the hard earned pennies about the problems I've had with buying a Festool TS55R the new one ! Got it home and noticed that the scale was not lining up with the zero point even though the saw cut perfect 90 degrees. So how do you set the saw...

    Post removed

Ignore this post now! I'm hoping somebody close to me in St Albans or reasonable driving distance, would not mind doing me a favour ? I have 4 Ash table legs which I'm trying to remove the wax finish from and have sanded all the flat tops to bare wood. Trying to sand the rounded parts is a...

    Walnut Chest of drawers

I just picked up the Ebony knobs that were made for me by Richard Findley who posts on the forum and fitted them to the items I made a few weeks back, I said I'd post pics' for him. I had a wee go myself at the spinny stuff but it made me appreciate how good he is, and nice bloke too. If you...

    Ripple Sycamore

Just picked up some Ripple Sycamore today, 1st time I've bought any so was not sure how much ripple to expect. This also made me a little cautious about how much to buy so only bought 4 boards 9ft x 11"x 1.25". Was so eager to see what was hidden underneath the saw marks so gave a quick scrub...

    Free benchtop table saw

I have had this little Draper benchtop tablesaw for years, never really used it and its taking up valuable space. Have lost the mitre gauge but it still has the rip fence poor though it is ! The making of a sculpted Chair

Thought this video of a beautiful IMO sculpted chair would be interesting for you all. Some scary tools used and very "interesting" technique using a chisel I couldn't figure out how to embed the video link direct so just click the link below. http://www.fastcompany.com/1607452/chai ... ence-video

    Stool from Offcuts

This was made from some already squared up left over 2" Ash and a walnut stretcher. The top had a big knot with a hole right through it so I filled that with an square inlay of veneer then continued to make a little pattern as it looked a bit odd on its own. I was also still recovering from...
