For Sale Scheppach hsm 260 ci 10" Planer Thicknesser 240v

I am having to downsize machinery due to moving house. This is a single phase 240v machine, which I was told requires a 16 amp supply to start up, but it's never tripped any of my standard sockets. This planes up to 260mm, the thicknesser has a 250mm wide table with a 150mm drop. Comes with...

    Sold SCM MiniMax S45 Bandsaw

I am having to downsize machinery due to moving house. This is a single phase 240v machine, and a very heavy machine at that! 250mm depth of cut, 430mm throat. The cast iron table tilts, but not to 45 degrees, due to some silly H&S requirement. Fitted with a fully adjustable Kreg precision...

For Sale Startrite 9" Tilt Arbor Sawbench Model 145 240v

I am having to downsize machinery due to moving house. I got this many moons ago on this forum from @lastminute and I'm very sad to have to let it go. This is a single phase 240v conversion, with an awesome modern fence (installed and modified by lastminute). Comes with the original mitre...

    Oli Natura Hard Wax Oil

I have been using this quite a bit recently where I would normally use Danish Oil, it's pretty good stuff. You can occasionally get it on sale at Amazon, like now at £14.17 a litre if you have a prime account...

Lie Nielsen large shoulder plane 073

I was at Axminster on Saturday debating which shoulder plane to purchase but couldn’t pull the trigger due to the prices. I looked on eBay when I got home and managed to win a LN 073 for £103 from a seller who had several different LN planes listed from their collection, the seller also had...

    SCM Minimax S45

Not sure if this is the right sub-forum for this... I have just got a 1996 S45 which is in pretty decent condition considering it's age. The only issue I have run into is the blade guide thrust bearings, it has the GL456's on the back and similar on the sides. I stripped, cleaned and rebuilt...

    Dewalt DW738 Bandsaw (SOLD)

Hi, I just bought a bigger bandsaw and need to make room for it. This machine can resaw up to 150mm, pretty decent performance for it's size. The only issue is a missing plastic locking wheel on the fence, I just use a spanner. It comes with 2 brand new tuffsaw bands: SuperTuff Premium Bandsaw...

    Non-oily finish.

The sample box was finished with some Liberon Finishing Oil I had handy. SWMBO wants a less oily/smelly finish on the final boxes, but likes the dark unfinished vintage look. The wood is American Black Walnut. Any suggestions?

    Box #1

I knew I should have bought a tablesaw... This took far longer than expected, should get it finished tomorrow.

    Router table

This was on the eventually list, but SWMBO wants some boxes and I need to cut a mile of mitres in 10mm walnut, which my CMS could do, but with a router I could be more accurate and add splines, and I do need a new toy to play with. Anyway, I have used but never owned a router and spent far too...

    Box making wood.

The wife has asked me to knock together some boxes for her small business as gift baskets. I have made a prototype from some nasty strip wood from the local dyi place, but am now struggling to source decent materials. Ideally I would like PAR 100x10mm black walnut as I have no finishing...

    Bench grinder

Having just started turning I am in need of a sharpening solution but the vast array of grinders available is making the choice difficult. I feel confident enough to have a go free hand, but may consider adding a jig at a later date. I think wide wheels and a slow speed would be best, but...

    Gardenlarch Workbench review

I needed a 'sturdy' bench for my new lathe and considering I don't have access to any other worktables, a table saw, a planer or a sander etc...I had to start with a pre-made kit. After much searching I found a relatively local supplier who had an ebay listing for this...
