Bench grinder

Having just started turning I am in need of a sharpening solution but the vast array of grinders available is making the choice difficult.

I feel confident enough to have a go free hand, but may consider adding a jig at a later date.
I think wide wheels and a slow speed would be best, but prices seem to get very high very fast with those options...

None of the machines I have seen come with a decent adjustable rest, is this usually a separate item?

If I can get something for under a hundred quid i'll be happy...

Does anyone have any recommendations?

I bought mine new off ebay for about £30. I don't see the same model there now but there are a number of others.

There are plenty of plans for jigs. If you freehand you will waste 50% of a tool - it works for a quick touch up, but that's all.
