Yeh Bill's tool store is a great store in the barras. You are right about them being limited to quality tools. I have always bought similar items from Rutlands or axminster because of the same reason as yourself. I know that crockets in Glasgow sell Record Irwin and Stanley Planes. Not to sure...

Thanks for the quick reply Carlb40. I thought about the Hinges that you show. I have never installed these before although I do have forstner bits. As you know you only get one shot with them. So bit concerned about accuracy when installing them.

Hi there, i have been asked to install a basic cabinet around a fuse box for a friend. The fuse box is on the wall above an internal door right underneath the stairs :x The right hand side of the cabinet would need to be cut at an angle to accomodate the slope from the stairs. Apologises but...

For the past couple of days my scrollsaw has been cutting slowly at top speed. When I turn the variable speed knob to anything below the top speed the blade stops moving. Anybody any ideas what could be causing the machine to stop cutting at lower speeds. It is a SIP 16" if that helps.
