I'm currently painting my kitchen which has t&g and plywood walls (it's a boat). At the moment I've applied one coat of Ronseal primer/undercoat/knotting. The grain on the ply is still quite visible...is there anything that I can apply at this stage to fill it? Thanks Charly

If this is the 'fess up' thread, I've been making a dressing table recently. Came to fit the doors and the carcasses are not square - partly because I don't have enough clamps to do what I was trying to do, mainly because I didn't have the experience to know that I needed to glue up...

The ones Mailee recommended to me from Ironmongery Direct are very similar to those on my roll cab/top box combination - they are really high quality.

I've been using a Wickes bj that Chems sold me this weekend, also very much a newb with them. Like yours, it doesn't hit dead centre - but it does have a registration mark dead centre on the side of it. This notch actually lines up with the bottom of the cut. I intend to biscuit the top on...

Ikea are £3 a pair give or take, 120* I think.... I paid less than £5/pr from a kitchen showroom for 170* ones. There are 3 per door, triangular MDF, 5'6" x 5' on a cupboard and that's plenty.

Before all my plans for a bench went to hell when I decided to move onto a boat but I had intended to cut down a couple of old crowbars....is this worth trying?

Trolley jack and an x beam? I have a 5'6" or so roll cab and top box which is massively heavy when loaded it that sits on castors quite happily.

:oops: perhaps that's why my VWs were always rattly old nails. I always used 4mm for M4 and so on.
