Zero clearance fence on a Kapex - does it affect the dust collection?

Can I just say these fences create inaccuracy as dust collects behind them and the material naturally moves. Better to use a straight stick behind if it's vital(just held). Simple I know but from experience it's best. Mine were birch ply as well.
