Thank for the info. Do you know whether the information in the separate book (Joints) has been rolled into the new (3rd) edition of ...Woodworkers Manual just published this year?

Ok then I have sat down this afternoon and had a look at the difference between "complete"1996 edition and separate(joints)2002 edition and the difference is" joints " has larger and more colourful drawings than the "complete".
Mike, sorry mate cant tell you anything about third edition

Another cracking book to check out is "Woodworkers guide to Joints" by Jim Kingshott. Lots of info on applications.
