So, I say go for it, you’ll not have the ‘what if?’ Hanging over you. You can probably always find a Groundworks job if you wanted to revert, less people inclined to do that level of graft (and that’s meant as a compliment).
 
I think the job title says enough
Production Operative
You may be in a firm making woodern boxes but I would conclude it was really not woodworking as such, more an automated production line so they rotate workers for no other reason than to relieve monotony. Making kitchen cabinets would be along similar lines as automation speeds things up and increases profits, also think that everything you make will either be burned or burried so never seen again!
