Wood router mounted on pillar drill above lathe table

I have found this most useful in many routing jobs .The router can be lifted upand down &the cross table moved in out L/R
.Ihave used it with great advantage making a wooden wheel

43mm collar ones such as the Bosch POF500s will fit directly into a drill stand - I used mine as an overhead pin router with a fixed fence, using the arc the stand swung through for adjustment. I have dog holes in the bench spaced to bolt the stand down and swing the router out over the vice for odd shaped stuff.
