I have some resharpenable planer blades off a HC260M and I wanted to get them professionally sharpened so they are even. What sort of shop/company sharpens planer blades? I've googled with no joy.

Rob,

not a million miles from you......(but not THAT handy)..... is Haydens Tools and Cutters in Braintree. They do all my blades......planer and saw, as well as router cutters occasionally, and do an excellent job quickly and cheaply.

I have used Bedford Saw who are very good indeed.

Wizer - any ideas if they do them while you wait as I happen to be near Bedford tomorrow morning?

Ok - thanks - sorry I sent a pm in case you missed the posting. Please ignore.

Dragon sharpen saw blades,I wouldn't be suprised if they do planer blades too.
Mail order, quick and very reasonadly priced.

I use Tewkesbury Saw Co Ltd. £6.26 per pr + £5 post + VAT. Basic grind. If they're mashed, might cost a little more.

Try a Yell.com search for 'Saw Sharpening'

Here's the results for Cambridgeshire

Sorry, I don't know how to shorten it. I'm sure Dave will oblige!

Any saw doctor will also sharpen planer blades.
Your local saw doctor should be one of your best friends!

Cheers
Dan
