What's the latest on Screwfix?

Hello all,

Has anyone used Screwfix recently?

I know there was a large thread about them having serious problems earlier but as I didn't need anything then I didn't follow it through.

They seem to have their warehousing personnel problems resolved now, following the move.

I ordered at 5pm on Wednesday last week, items arrived Thursday morning. To get them the next day was pretty good given how late in the afternoon I ordered, and it was between Christmas and New Year so no doubt many staff were on annual leave. On the other hand, perhaps orders were reduced due to most trades taking their Christmas break? I ordered by phone.

Anyway, I was happy.

They appear to be back to normal. Placed an order at 4.00pm today, got an email tonight saying order despatched, hopefully it'll arrive via Parcel Force before the weekend but I doubt the 180 meters of conduit will arrive before next week :wink:

they managed to squeeze through an order for me between xmas and new year.... web site's back up and fully functional... delivery's still as lousy as ever...
