What wood for legs for Cedar lab coffee table

I got a Cedar slab recently (thanks to M Large in Carrickfergus outside Belfast . Wonderful place!)
What wood would ye suggest I use for legs ?

My first thought would be more of the same if you can manage it.

Either the same material or a complete contrast, a slight off colour match would look odd in my opinion. Also the design of the piece would play into my choice of material. A traditional design with aprons etc would be odd to have legs on a different material. A more contemporary design where the slab is the celebrated, would suit the contrast.
