What exactly do I need to clean my wood burning pen?

I have a Peter Child wood burning machine and it says to buy something to clean the tips with, but what exactly is it called in the shops, and where do I get it from?

Isn't it easier to just cut a new one from a roll ?

I use a small brass brush when needed, they are about £1 each from the cheap shops.
