The blade that came with my Scheppach hs105 has become a smoke machine ( even ripping soft wood) so after looking at advice I'm picking up a Freud 250 x 30 60t from Screwfix tomorrow £41.99. OK? is it worth getting my other one sharpened? or bin it. Will the Freud one re-sharpen? If so, where? I'm in East Midlands.

yes those Freud blades are worth getting resharpened. Should cost about £10.

Hi

I have found 60 teeth are too many for ripping, 48 teeth seems to be the most it likes. Also make sure the other blade parameters are correct for table saw use. The rake can be important, I know it needs to be negative for a mitre saw. This is often the advantage of buying direct from the suppliers as you can tap into their knowledge. I can vouch for both Tuff saws and Sheffield saws as both were very informative when looking for blades.

I use a CMT 285.040.10M for my day to day cutting
Mostly ripping and crosscutting hardwoods. 40 tooth, super sharp. Using the Axminster 10" trade series.

I get mine sharpened at Oswald Cox in Leicester. Their collection and delivery service comes out as far as Syston for sure, but I don't know how much further?
thanks. I'm not that far from Syston. How much please?
