I was clearing a shed out today for old friends of my inlaws. Mountains of junk & rubbish gone through. A few good tools that i have to sell for them.
But an obscure thing turned up, a pair of Vintage Exide batteries, czg6 2volt low tension, they are quite large with thick glass jars, thing is they appear to be as new & have never been filled with acid. Seems a shame to chuck them, anyone know what they would have been used for? Are they of any use to anyone? or just curios!

They sound like lead acid accumulators, we used to power a “mobile” radio with them.

Yes, sound like lead acid accumulators, standard use for the filament supplies of Battery radios alongside a 90-120 volt High tension dry battery.
Are they the smaller square format 4"X 4" ? or the wider 5-6" x 4"?

maybe ask at a museum if they would like them. They won't pay anything, but it's got to be better than just throwing them away. It's History and History is Brill.
