Id wait until you get them in your hand as the sizes can differ from 7.5mm to 9 mm and any other sizes i have missed . the ones i use are 7.8mm but im sure the ones that take banjos are 8mm . Why not mark out and drill 2mm pilot holes and wait until you get them , this will allow a pilot for the larger drill bit so more accurate and let you get on with painting etc .

I was sweating that I would have to drill all the holes when the carcasses are made, but at least with a pilot hole drilled on the bench I can worry less about the final holes when they arive..

Their printed catalogue says a 6.5mm hole for the socket, but it can vary a bit depending what you are drilling - hardwood, softwood or mdf.

ah jason.... you're too efficient.

I just looked in the catalogue and spot on 6.5mm, should be okay its for the birch ply from the finishing question.....
