after searching the internet for over a year i got my hands on an early union graduate. i spent 3 days grinding off the old paint 2 days replacing the micro switches and re earthing it to the casting. 4 days giving it a hell of a paint job and a new Robert sorry chuck still need to find a replacement 50v lamp with the boom arm, but i have been looking at a modern my for equivalent. i would also like to find the ally sanding disk and nose cone, i still have some work to do on the belt tightening mechanism. but here is the big mean green turning machine i.e. the hulk.

yea that was a pig of a job to get it to stick to an already shiny surface. used spray adhesive in the end aha

Good paint job, but I love the traditional colour! I recently gave mine a lick of Hammerite paint and it looks superb. G and M Tools often have nose cones on their web page for £10-15. Just had a look and they don't have any just now, but might be worth dropping them a line to see if they'll contact you when one comes in.

Well, I like the lathe and the colour, and as you say, A nice change from the drab grey.
A very nice workshop too!

Looks great, I even like the colour :)

Just managed to get a Union Jubilee and hopefully will be able to give it a makeover as well...

What type of paint did you use for it?
