That is very nice, though for me personally I would want to veneer the flat strip above the drawers with the same veneer. To it would pull in the design a bit more.

Nice job, this is on my very long "to do" list.
Under my stairs is unfortunately where my consumer unit and a huge mess of wires is so I need a cupboard within a cupboard for that.

If it's any consolation, it took me nearly a decade to actually do mine 😂

Good point. I like to see birch ply end grain, but I have to agree on that 👍

Yes it's a very nice veneer.....Im no wood identifying expert, the reason I ask if I live on a Spanish Olive groove and I don't think it Olive......maybe Ash....Olive Ash.
