Walnut and ash chest of drawers

A while ago I made an ash and walnut wardrobe. This is the matching chest of drawers.
The sides are 12mm ash veneered ply with a 40mm X 40mm walnut frame all round. I bought the ply as 6mm veneered on one side only and back to back laminated them to get the required thickness. The veneer was extremely thin and I felt wasnt good enough for the top which is ply with 2mm bandsawn veneers top and bottom
Drawers are ash throughout. Through dovetails at the back, lapped dovetails at the front
Drawer bottoms are birch ply with a central munti which was also the drawer runner
Drawer stops are morticed into the front drawer rail. This may seem over kill compared with just glue and tacking them in position but I find it makes them easier to fine adjust
Drawer handles are segments turned on the lathe. I put a spacer behind the blanks so I could turn a shallow dish on one side of teh blank and then turn the blank over and do the same on the other side. The walnut pieces were then cut of
I have attached a couple of photos of drawer fitting which shows the central runner which was grooved before assembly a beech runner piece was fitted and glued into the groove and this was then adjusted to fit the runner groove in the drawer muntin

Hi Wayne, I did do a breakdown of costs but based on what I pay currently
2" walnut 1.25cuft £175 (ouch)
!" Ash 4cuft £260
6mm" ash faced ply 1 sheet (sides laminated back to bacl)£50
4mm" ash faced ply 1/2 sheet ( back (laminated backto back) £25
4mm birch ply drawer bottoms 1 sheet £50
Total £560
