So, with my new project under way, I need a better way to cut full / large sheets.

Up till now, my workshop, was also my car shop, so all my tools needed to be able to hide away in the edges so I could get a car in to work on.

I'm going to build another shed for cars now, so I decided to set up a bit more permanently .

1st on the list is an out feed table. Something Ive wanted for ever !

So this arvo, I dicided to make one.

Pictures speak for them selves. Table frame was just glued and screwed
The top is an 8x4 1/2" chipboard cut in half and double up. The top was split to allow the miter slots clearance . Rather than routing them into the surface. Checked with my panel and cross cutter before gluing and pinning. Then soaked in wax to make it slippy.

The jointer(planer ? ) becomes an outrigger to balance the overhang of a full sheet all the way through the cut.

It all works a treat, and made cutting a full sheet easy, with my basic 10" TS.

Ive made provision to attach to the TS and I will chamfer the leading edge when I level it up. I made it a 1/4" low, as my floor isn't that flat.

Guards removed for photographic purposes only :)
