Trying to remember the name of a play

It was set in WW II, I seem to remember a smallish cast of misfit British soldiers with one Japanese prisoner who they eventually shoot for want of anything better to do....probably set in the Far East....but can't remember anything more about it. Strike a chord with anyone?
