Have a problem with my Trend T4 in that it won't turn on unless is set at MAX so 30+K RPM.
I'm suspecting that the speed control board has failed; has anyone here repaired the board itself at component level? I haven't opened it up yet but suspect there will be minimal components.
Have spoken to Trend who want £16 to collect and return it to quote for a repair which by the time it's repaired would be over 50% of the cost of a replacement.
I have a T11 and the table which serves most applications but the T4 is handy for the smaller jobs and uses the same guide bushes as the T11.
The other option is to use an external speed control.
Seems from what I can find that the T4 isn't particularly reliable. What would you guys suggest as a replacement?
