Ticking noise coming from motor CL4

The first thing I would do is take the cowl off the fan and see if a stray shaving has got in there. That happened to me a couple of times when I had a CL-1.

If Selectortone's suggestion doesn't solve it, are you sure that it's coming from the motor?

Take the belt off to prove it. While it's off, check that both pulleys are tight on their shafts.

Try sticking the handle of a long screwdriver in your ear and move the end of the blade round the headstock, motor and control box to get a better fix on it. It might be something loose which is rattling around.

Just an update, yes it was a loose pulley on the motor lol

I had tried moving it but with the belt tension it wouldn't move, I had the belt off and sure enough it was sliding.
 
My 18 month old Jet 3520b was doing that. I phoned Axi and they sent out a mechanic to change the inverter box. Solved the problem.
