Sad news although maybe inevitable. What I don't understand is that the website is fairly devoid of items for sale when there is so much in the shop. I got the impression that it didn't seem to be a going concern for the owner and I'm sure he had his own reasons for that, who am I to judge? One of the best things for me was not the wall of (vintage in the proper sense of the word) planes or more stand out tools (for want of a better description) but the fact you could rummage through a drawer full of punches say, find the five or six you needed and you weren't buying blind from an internet site. Is that Irony? I suppose it is.
I went to Axminster on the same day to buy some files and this is no reflection on Axminster at all but I know which shop I would choose to bumble around given the choice. The sad thing is there soon won't be many choices left and I can't help feeling we're all the poorer because of it.
Let us know how you get on Sawdust if you make it over there.
Cheers for the heads up.
