TC planer blades

Hi.
Can anyone give me some idea of the durability of tungsten carbide plane blades compared to HSS blades.
I'm planing African teak, which is killing my HSS blades, in a 10" Tersa block, so, replacing the blades would cost around £180 and I'm not sure if the expenditure would be justified for the projects in mind.

Welcome to a new member, I must admit I have no experience on the equipment you mention, looked up tersa block on google and got this

Perhaps another forum member uses these blades in their setup might come along.
