Startrite TA175 saw motor

Advice/information please.

Thinking of buying 10inch single phase 1.5hp Startrite TA175 saw

Would they have had an induction motor as standard or is that a simplistic question.

I believe the original motors fitted in Startrite 145, 165, 175 and 275 saws, all used the same motor in their 240v single phase models.
It is a Brook Gryphon 1.5hp, 1100w induction motor.
